Weight Loss Team Competition

WEIGHT LOSS TEAM COMPETITION
Starts Friday Wednesday November 24th

That’s right, it’s time again.  Time to get your team ready for the next round of the Weight Loss Competition.

Ever thought, “I could lose a few”?  Now is the TIME.  Instead of Gaining weight over the Holidays – Lose IT!

Just to give you some inspiration, the teams in the last competitions lost 137 POUNDS!

The competition:

·         Start Date and Wednesday November 24th
·         3 person teams weigh-in together on the shipping scale so no one knows individual weight
·         Initial Weigh-in – All teams must weigh in sometime before they leave on the 24th.  If you have people on vacation next week, better weigh-in now.
·         13 week competition with all Final weigh-ins on February 23rd.  If you have people on vacation that day see additional details on attached rule sheet.
·         Teams will be scored based on total percentage of weight lost
·         Prizes:
Any team that reaches a total percentage loss of 3.5% will receive on raffle ticket in a drawing for movie tickets.
Any team that can reach a total percentage loss of 5.0% will receive two raffle tickets in a drawing for movie tickets.  Multiple wins by a single team will be limited by the number of successful teams in the drawing.
·         A cash pool will also be offered for those teams that wish to participate at $30 per team ($10 per member).  The pool will be distributed to the top 3 teams 1st gets 50%, 2nd gets 30% and 3rd gets 20%.  The cash pool is OPTIONAL.  Each team will decide at the beginning if they wish to be involved in the pool or not.  The Money must be paid at the beginning of the competition.  If you don’t put money into the pool, you cannot win it.  You can however, win the competition.  See attached rule sheet for additional details on the money pool.

So, get your 3 person team together, decide on a team name, and give the information to Garrett.

Weight Loss Competition – The Fine Print
November 24th 2010 thru February 23rd 2011

·         The goal of this competition is to promote healthy weight loss and it is not the intention of the prizes or money pool to encourage poor eating habits or dehydration in order to win.  Any team or team member deemed by the judges to be losing weight in an unsafe manner will be disqualified.  All decisions are final.
·         If a team loses a member due to that member leaving the company or circumstances beyond their control:
o   The two person team may continue and their total percentage score will be calculated based on a weighted average of their score with 3 people and their score with 2 people based on the weeks participated respectively.
o   If that team is part of the money pool, that team will be removed from the prize pool and their entry money refunded.  They will remain in the competition per above.
·         If there are team members on vacation on the final weigh-in day that team at their discretion may choose one of two options.
o   The entire team may take their final weigh-in on any of the 2 working days prior to the final weigh-in (Monday or Tuesday).
o   The member that will be absent may weigh in (on the shipping scale) on their last working day prior to going on vacation.  The team will then add that weight to the team weight of the other two members on the final weigh in.
o   Other deviations will be handled on a case by case basis.  All decisions of the Judge are final.
·         The money pool is OPTIONAL and is separate from the main competition.  Your team does not have to participate.  However, if you do not sign up at the beginning, you cannot win any of the money pool.  You may win the competition.  Late entries into the money pool will not be allowed.
·         Entry into the money pool will be a team by team decision.
·         The entry fee into the pool is $30 per team.
